I might be missing something here but can we refrain as a fan base from hanging out our captain to dry on the weekend of a derby?

We don't yet know what, if anything, Kompany has said to the mirror. A paper with a long and proud history of writing hit pieces on our club.

And a captain who has given our club more in the last few years than almost any player in my lifetime (I'm 44).

Never forget, it's the weekend of a derby. Believe what you read tomorrow very much at your peril and FFS get, and stay, behind the team.

Including, and especially, our captain.
He's been hung out to dry all season. The last few posts just reiterate that. He's been slagged in his birthday thread, his two other threads and now this one has suddenly given the same people another opportunity.
It's a sad state of affairs how our fanbase have turned on him, not unsurprising though unfortunately.
Agreed.

If there's one player that should be cut some slack, it's Vincent.

so then is that it? do all the doubters accept there IS an agenda against our club?

its been as clear as day since the day we got rich.

Never been a shadow of a doubt even some of the better journalists have also said as much. Let us not forget who our owners are as well there is more than a hint of 'Anti Sheik/ Arab' in this agenda too.no matter how many people will scream that isn't the case.

The whole process does smack of an agenda as proven that the rags are over £400m in debt yet are free to spend whatever! They are also looking to sign huge again in the summer and are looking at hummels, Gundogan, schweinsteiger, Lewandowski, depay etc so we HAVE to respond!

Exactly! A much fairer way would be to say a club with debt cannot spend money until that debt is cleared, no matter how much they are earning, those earnings have to go to clearing the debt.

We all knew it and major respect to our captain for saying it in the press, and total respect for naming united as one of the major backers of FFP - we all know that Gill has a hidden agenda and you can bet your last pound in your wallet that it was him and united who were the most worried of ourselves and Chelsea after the takeovers

FFP is supposed to be there to protect a club from going bust, but united can spend spend spend, even though they operate with losses of £400m plus interest being accrued every single day.

Gill knew this and saw the threat in terms of how united would not be able to compete for players against both us and Chelsea, He has effectively been a silent assassin working for the cartel of united and UEFA. Anyone (mostly from some press and united fans) denying that he has a conflict of interest working for both united and UEFA is just being plain blind.

That's the way I see it anyway

I did like vinnys dig about paying uk tax as well! Lol. When the cfa was opened i seem to remember george Osborne thanking adug for investing IN the uk economy unlike our near neighbours!

This is something that routinely gets criminally overlooked. The amount of money that has gone to the Exchequer since 2008, over and above what would have been the case if the takeover hadn't occurred, is staggering.

Usually the press are falling over themselves to fawn as much as possible at foreign investment in the UK, especially if those investing are white.
