City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Excellent from Swissramble, this should be read by ALL media and supporters.

Just one thing, City's UK share from the CL increased due to Celtic ducking out? The piece doesn't make it clear but I assume that's TV money from the UK rather than UEFA cash?

So do I understand the Swiss Rambler correctly that our transfer activity this summer came more or less without increasing cost accounting-wise? And does this mean we have not even started to spend the money from the increased TV deals?

We increased our costs by around £8m so the increased champion's league money should cover that and wipe out our deficit from last year before any other income increases. The new PL deal kicks in next year so we haven't spent it yet.

Right so in summary effectively we will have done our transfers this summer while at the same time becoming profitable, AND looking at those new TV deals that will increase our income significantly in the next years. I am amazed. What a fucking fantastic situation to be in !

This is the one part I think he's gone wrong with, he's thinking of the UK as a country but UEFA think in member associations:

Market pool (€482.9m)

• The amount of €482.9m will be distributed according to the proportional value of each TV market represented by the clubs taking part in the UEFA Champions League (group stage onwards) and be split among the clubs participating from a given association.

Which would keep the FA clubs (City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Scum) and SFA (Celtic) separate.

Yep. If he's got his numbers right budgeting for top two in 2016/17 will give us an extra £51m which equates to a £125m nett transfer budget (allowing for an equal increase in wages over 5 years).

Also looks like the rags & maybe one or two others will be on a huge splurge next season when the tv money increase etc comes in, so City have done brilliantly to now sign up two of, what would have been, the most sought after players, in next season's summer window. Sterling & DeBruyne are going to look seriously cheap when rags & probably Chelsea, go on the panic splurge next season. Rags will be chucking money at Real Madrid again, hoping some of it sticks.

We won't really need anybody desperately, but will probably just pick up one big one, probably centre mid, which Txiki will have boxed off by January.

Well they doubled acceptable fees there a week ago. That could be funny, Perez always has been one to hold a serious grudge.

It will be hilarious to see them chucking more & more money at Gareth Bale or Ronaldo with Real fluttering their eyelashes, then see the Real Madrid team photo come out with both on it, saying how they never had any intention of leaving. You can almost write this now.

Yep, a whole summer chasing the aforementioned two, Muller, Reus and Neymar before they end up paying Juventus 36m for Mandzukic and Norwich 100m for Nathan Redmond (while trying to spin the fact that we used to hold a 1.5m option on the lad at Birmingham into us being beaten to the player by the scum).

And that's TV money only. All the new sponsor deals we have been signing will add to that. Plus there is serious potential in our Etihad and Nike deals, if we can negotiate them to be similar to what the others are getting. I have always believed that with the Sheik Manchester City could reach the highest level in World football, but this article from the Swiss Rambler is the clearest documentation I have seen anywhere. Based on this we can really say: "you ain't seen nothin' yet". The rest of the world elite football clubs should be very scared of what's coming! Fuck me. This is going to be great :-)
