City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Once they lose their marquee players Messi and Trani that league is screwed. They can see the writing on the wall with Neymar turning his back on La Liga so they want to go down swinging. These unwarranted attacks lead me to believe that we are in for Messi, they know it and they will do anything to stop it. The balance of power is shifting and they are crying like babies.

I imagine this is a situation they are getting a bit nervous about, probably want him to sign the contract before we can talk to him in January.

The grapes are extremely sour this morning.

So La Liga lost one of its crown jewels in Neymar so the first response is to throw a tantrum.

I wonder if Messi is actually considering a Bosman if we're being mentioned

i genuinely think it's the case. They are real worried about losing Messi next summer.

Tarts, barca 'more than a club' my arse, moaning whining fuckers and if Real are involved in this Abu should withdraw the funding given to them and counter sight the state financial help they've had over the years,

Yeah, I can't see for the life of me how Real Madrid can be involved in this when you consider they're getting Abu Dhabi money to help redevelop their ground. The irony in that would be utterly laughable. I'm inclined to think that Wenger stopped spouting off about our spending because he was told to shut the fuck up by their main sponsor Emirates, given that Dubai and Abu Dhabi are so intrinsically linked.

I would love it (Kevin Keegan style), if we came out with the state of our finances after this summer. We must be well within the guidelines and I assume after this season will be on course for a record profit year.

Obviously Barca are worried about losing Messi to us, so soon after losing Neymar.

There are clearly hoping to discourage players joining ourselves and PSG.

It's OK when Barca and Real Madrid are hoovering up the best talent. When that's reversed "action must be taken".

I'm tempted to say we should go all out for their best player now, whatever the cost or repercussions of so-called ffp. Thankfully the club will be employing someone who will have a more measured response.

Tebas must be shitting himself, they rely completely on their massive names, ie Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar to attract sponsors and TV deals and they'll be thinking worst case scenario 2/3 are gone in 2018 when they start negotiating their new TV deals for 2019-2022 and Ronaldo will be 34.

I'm going to post a link for once just to show you all what a disgrace BBC Sport, Mediacity, Salford Quays is.

This is the BBC's latest attempt to smear City.

There's absolutely no balance in the report.

No mention of the players released and sold, etc

No mention of the net spend

We might be closer to Messi than even we could possibly imagine, I wonder if he is seriously questioning whether to renew or not. I mean we know he was 'close' last year but with this current Barca board he may be seriously considering joining us.

Thus pressure on La Liga to attempt to put pressure on us.
