City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

I'm going to post a link for once just to show you all what a disgrace BBC Sport, Mediacity, Salford Quays is.

This is the BBC's latest attempt to smear City.

There's absolutely no balance in the report.

No mention of the players released and sold, etc

No mention of the net spend

This is after all BBC Sport. Our National Broadcaster.

A Broadcaster that you'd hope and think would produce a honest, balanced and fair article. Not a chance in hell!

Manchester City: La Liga asks Uefa to investigate club's financial fair play

Just heard the same on the main BBC 5live news.... Man City and PSG spent hundreds of millions in the transfer window!! Obviously no mention of anyone else spending over the odds, or taking into account our net spend!! Biased bastards!!

Surely by La Liga's own rules that every player must have a release clause, the setting of such clause at an unfeasible amount is tantamount to preventing players leaving until the end of such contract. How can any European court allow this under restriction of trade laws ?

It's the AP statement wording just being read out. Sky (interestingly) left out the "hundreds of".

It's just been on SSN now, and the "hundreds of" quote was very much in there!

United's net spend is more than ours this summer. They are buying marquee names for hugely inflated fees. Their transfer activity is a lot more similar to PSG's than ours, but yet we get thrown under the bus along with PSG.

Strange.

I looked at the website article (which may also now have been changed)

BBC Sport "understands UEFA has no intention of opening an investigation into Manchester City at this stage"

Isn't it FCB that was charged by the Spanish High Court with understating the value of the original Neymar transfer and thus underpaying the original owners?

The cheek of La Liga - the most inequitable of all the European leagues. Not worried this time. UEFA I think know these allegations are rubbish. La Liga are not referring to net spend but to state sponsorship of MCFC and PSG. MCFC have a significant element of sponsorship from Rohad Airlines, but it's already been reviewed by UEFA and is well within fair value as I understand it.

Barcelona and La Liga and worried.

There putting a shot across our bow. It's looking like things are going to get Messi for us next summer ;-)

PSG passing FFP depends on the French Revenue excepting that 50% of Neymar's and Mbappe's wages are paid at 0% tax as "Ambassadors for the 2022 World Cup." Much like Image rights it won't wash with the French tax authorities as PSG and the Qatar World Cup are owned by the same parent company - i.e. Qatar.
That said they will have a couple of years to sort out alternative finance till the bill is due. It will be interesting to see how UEFA back date the increased wage spending mind.
Oh I forgot they aren't Manchester City so nothing will happen.

(I tried re-locating the articles on how Neymar's salary was structured but all I could only find was page after page of Salary per second/minute/hour/day/month/year tickers.)
I don't believe the part inbold for a moment. He's a (or will be a) French tax resident. It doesn't matter where the money is 'earned' be it Paris or Doha, he is still (or will be) taxed as a French tax resident and will taxed be on worldwide earnings whilst residing in France.

Maybe we should wright back saying what bent ****s they and RM are. I am sure our three ex barca staff could stir some shit. It will soon be dropped

This is quite blatently a lie:

The body claimed that "both PSG and Man City benefit from sponsorships that make no economic sense and lack any fair value"
