City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

The club has a real issue that the general public think we are breaking FFP every year and UEFA are simply sued into submission or bribed to allow it.

I would guess 90% of general football fans don't know the CAS case was about 2014 and not a current issue.

If Pep's going to continue speaking about this, and he inevitably will because he'll get asked about it, he needs to keep reiterating that we've not failed FFP since 2013. If people aren't happy with that, go to UEFA to change the rules, not us.

Funny how net spend is only a thing when it's the established clubs spending massive money. I wonder if Solskjaer was asked about his spending in the press conference given that they've spent more than us and sold nobody.

United make their own money, it doesn't matter how much they spend.

That is the mentality that exists in the press and the public.

I agree. The recent Sunday snail article was referring to 2011. Yes really before Ffp came out.

Yes but at least he had a go back. We cant expect Pep to always have to front it out.
I’m not advocating the club goes to war with the media but they could easily get one or two friends of ours to do interviews pointing out truths like you have.

True but pep has got to keep reiterating that we make our own money through having a successful team. The club need to keep defending and fighting this issue until the media come to the realisation that nobody cares and it’s not worth printing. Until then Pep is and has been doing a fantastic job. He has brought a credibility that will help us long into the future.

This is why I like Pep more than the football. He makes the odd mistake but blimey I hope he is our manager forever
Yeah which is why when I see people talk about how he doesn't get the club because he lost some derby matches I become so irritated.

The guy stood up for us the entire time during the FFP stuff (and as seen by the Super League stuff, he didn't have to) and to top it off gave a great fuck you speech after the CAS results came out.
