This has the makings of bringing the whole Prem down (years of litigation, etc)

Not if the PL and UEFA respond in the way they did in the summer. Any competition not recognised by the two would be unofficial and clubs joining could not take part in official competitions. If, on the other hand, they decided to appease the Americans by expelling City and Newcastle it would cost them a fortune in fines and damages forbehaving as a cartel. And when/if it does go to court and the premier league concedes.
European superleague becomes more "attractive".
Everyone's a winner.......
maintain status quo. Virtually every owner in the prem is a billionaire but investors that put hands in their pockets and spend on the team threaten places of others in the status quoSo 18 clubs voted in favour of this nonsense. American owned redshirts plus Spurs are 4 in total. Chelsea sails on a raft of Abramovich loans. Thus, 13 clubs have voted to hamstring themselves in the event of being taken over by a multimillionaire. Why?
Prompted by a complaint from Liverpool, that firm of solicitors that organised the round robin to UEFA demanding our immediate suspension from the CL have now been crawling over our historical accounts for about two years and so far....ZILCH, nada, nothing. When will they cease? Note to PL clubs: it's your money they are spending. Not if the PL and UEFA respond in the way they did in the summer. What I believe is that these proposed regulations show that the PL has been "investigating" City for as long as we can remember and have got nowhere and accep that they won't get anywhere in the future.
Not forgetting champions of India and AustrAsiaThat would be grossly unfair. For example at present CFG clubs are Champions in the USA and England. A joint deal might be very attractive to a sponsor which has big markets in the US and here. The whole point of City's global model is we can leverage bigger deals because we have a footprint all over the world. At the same time we can reduce our costs by sharing staffing and service costs etc etc.
This is the way all successful international corporations operate. There is nothing to stop any other football club owners from using a similar business model. It is fundamentally wrong that any of our commercial rivals should have a say in how we allocate our sponsorship revenues. This is just the latest in a long line of corrupt moves to try and undermine our football club and, as usual, it is being led by the usual suspects.
But the 13 have no standing in the status quo. They occupy, with occasional exceptions, positions in the middle and lower reaches of the league and have no real prospect of going higher.maintain status quo. It really does stink of 'get our hands on all the data and see what can we find out about City.'The article PB linked is behind a paywall for me. The full article is here from open source archive.ph :

Despite the "strict security" what are the chances that the usual suspects will find out all information they want? 100% imo.
