City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Question.

Why has it gone down to 9 clubs(apparently), when just under 20 had failed FFPR, if the original numbers reported were true?

Are these the 9 clubs that haven't accepted their punishments and are negotiating with UEFA?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I reckon the only hanging will be Platini and Uefa out to dry by this lawyer Dupont in the forthcoming months.(fingers crossed)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Zenit are most likely 1 of the 9 clubs.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Messi et al won’t be coming unless and until we get this sorted out. It looks like a legal battle is looming, which I would welcome. We may as well have the fight and get it over with. However, until we are through it, big transfers in may be on hold because Messi etc will want European football which we may be excluded from whilst the shit storm rages. In the meantime, I hope Platini, Wenger, Gill, and Blatter all burn to death in a fire at UEFA HQ.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

All the talk for some time has been about how the club were working with UEFA concerning FFP and how we'd be ok.
We then hear about supposed squad restrictions and fines being implemented against our club, does this mean someone has seriously fucked up at City, we've been played and lied to by UEFA or have we all along just been preparing for war?
The way our owners go quietly about their business i really can't see them wanting a war

Re: City & FFP (continued)

be interesting to know if it's us or uefa that's leaked this.

"@City_Watch: City are a "long way off" agreeing a settlement with UEFA over Financial Fair Play breaches, according to the Press Association."

Do you really see UEFA banning us if we signed Messi?

South, North American and Asian viewing figures would significanlty diminish.

I reckon they have moved the goalposts and we have been duped into believing we were OK only suddenly for publicity stakes for us to be made an example of. If UEFA have acted underhand I reckon the Sheikh might just go to war. Pure speculation on my part.

I agree sam. Signing Messi makes our exclusion less, not more likely.
