Isn't it funny, we get bought by a guy willing to put insane money into the club and then FFp comes along.

I'm sure he would have spent another 500m if it wasn't for this stupid rule

I don't think he would bizarrely without FFP we may well have spent less but we would have been able to spend better and more patiently and got more bang for our buck.

We don't want court neither do UEFA and having been involved in many commercial litigations you lose even when you win. 90% of the time the only winners in long court proceedings are the lawyers who get very rich.

I am sure we will settle and there will be no appeal!

I am not sure most people on here have the realisation of the consequence of us going legal and just what damage will be done to the club in the meantime even if we win and the danger to our football progress.

For me winning changing the system, bankrupting UEFA would not be a price withy paying for the destruction of our name and our owners name in the press and the possible break up of a team just as we get good.

The satisfaction of winning off the field for me a very poor second to winning on it

Unfortunately it's behind a paywall.

Good. Glad we're fighting and not taking it.

I reckon they have moved the goalposts and we have been duped into believing we were OK only suddenly for publicity stakes for us to be made an example of. If UEFA have acted underhand I reckon the Sheikh might just go to war. Pure speculation on my part.

Pretty much nail on head rammy. That is what the brewing storm is about. The owner and board are NOT happy!

Pretty obvious they are not happy about it.

I pray we fight anything they throw our way, they have nothing to stand on. PSG should join us as well in the fight against this UEFA corruption.

Whilst the more the merrier I think we have different points to prove. PSG have been taking the piss whilst we have worked with And within the guidance. The fact that rules have changed at a late stage and traps have been set mean we now have to challenge the legitimacy of those changes. PSG have no such claim. It would be truly amazing if we ended up with similar or even tougher sanctions than PSG but nothing would surprise me.

Anyone who actually believes that the Etihad deal doesn't represent fair value, given our standing in the game in the last three years, is clinically insane.
