Why the fuck is that rag wum Gillespie still posting on here. Clearly trying to take the piss. Fucking rag ****!
Couldn't agree more. It's obvious he's here to wind people up with snide two-word replies.
As for FFP, as said previously, on a point of priciple we have to fight this all the way. We didn't pick this fight, the G14 through UEFA did and if we can't convince the world that debt and not investment is the problem in football, something is very wrong with us.
I have an anger burning deep inside me, but experience has taught me not to let my emotions get the better of me because that's when you lose focus of the goal ahead. So we shouldn't let our anger get the better of us, we should concentrate our efforts on getting even with the G14.
If they want a scrap, we should give them one and all of us have a responsibility to help the club we love. I've invested too much emotion, energy, time and money for someone to come along and do this to us. For years spending copious amounts of money on the best players and highest wages wasn't a problem, but up pop City and it suddenly becomes one.
We've all discussed this to death so I won't go over the points all again as we all know FFP is bullshit and directly aimed at us, but we need a concerted plan and effort from us the fans to help our club. Like I said, if they want war, let's give them war becuase I fo one am more than up for it and I hope the club is too.

We won't have to - I suspect one summer of dancing at most before we are sitting down with a cigar!wayne71 said:We can't afford to be dancing to their tune every summer. I hope we fight them all the way even if it means losing out in the short term.

We presented our FFP pro-forma to the CFCB and we were obviously way over. So then it went to the Investigatory Chamber and they're supposed to pick the figures apart and apply the pre-06/2010 wages add-back, which should have seen us scrape home. However, it seems they disallowed some revenue that we were originally told would be acceptable. So we failed, contrary to our clear expectation.
At that point a set of sanctions would have been offered in return for a quick settlement, like paying your parking fine early, as someone said. We have been negotiating and have until Friday to agree a satisfactory outcome. That is looking unlikely with a major climb-down from UEFA. if we can't agree, then we will be referred to the higher Adjudicatory Chamber, who will not negotiate but impose a sanction or sanctions. If we don't accept those then we can go to the CAS.
If that's not satisfactory, we can go to law. And we will as I understand it currently.
Sounds like we are giving UEFA more time to consider, rather than the other way around :-)
I've said all along that they will not under any circumstances want this in court. They have got themselves into a huge pickle with needing to appease the G14 by imposing sanctions with real bite. And appeasing Qatar by trying to show they aren't singling them out, especially after the palms that have been greased over the world cup.
But ultimately they NEED us to accept their sanctions, so they will compromise. They have to, because the alternative for them is armageddon that UEFA as a body may not survive and the individuals concerned most certainly would not.
