Exactly. If I see one more person trying to twist this as a victory for the club I'm gonna tear my hair out. It's impossible for it to be a victory for the club because the club has been fucking shafted. And by bending over and taking that shafting every journalist, TV pundit, football fan, man on the street is going to think we cooked the books and are cheats. I'm livid the club has not fought this.

You don't own the club
You're not the MD, you're not on the board, it's not your decision to make
You're not the legal representatives.

No one on here, or in the media, knows why the decision was made. There's a broad press statement raising some factors but it's entirely possible the club said 'it's a one year impediment, let it go'.

Sometimes in legal situations you let stuff go, because it's too much effort, or cost or too risky to push ahead, even if you're in the right.

Who gives a fuck what random other people you don't give a shit about (seriously, journalists and pundits?) think?

Dear Mr Wenger,
Due to FFP sanctions we will now only be signing your players on a free once their contracts are up. Sorry if this leaves you £70m worse off next year - give our love to Sagna.
Mr Wenger and his pals are well happy tonight

We just escaped with a £16.2m fine. Wherever Wenger is tonight, he's breaking things against the wall and calling lawyers to prepare for an appeal. Couldn't have gone worse for him. We won.

and, by accepting the settlement, confirm to the world MCFC cheated by cooking the books.

If you could point out anywhere that the club admit any wrongdoing that would be great.

We admit it in the 7th point of our own official statement:

- Given the unique nature of the new City Football Group structure – which incorporates MCFC, New York City, Melbourne Heart and a number of other companies, the Club has agreed to certain non-material terms in order to make FFP reporting as easy as possible for UEFA to discern.

It wouldn't take an unfavourable journalist - and most of them hate us with a passion - to make this look very bad indeed.

It basically says we deliberately made some areas of our accounting too difficult for UEFA to understand. It says we reported figures in a non-transparent way that UEFA didn't like, which could be interpreted as us trying to hide something. And that we've agreed not to do that again.

It's clear admission, and one that will be quoted by journalists against us. No question whatsoever.

It is a clear admission of fuck all you drama queen. lol.

It's feels like your mum has gone round to the scum bag next door to say sorry and pay up for a window you didn't break but they say you did.

You were ready to argue the toss but she would rather not have the grief of having your house arsened ( no pun intended) .

Any how she knows they will be evicted this time next year

You feel bad about it but get the reason why she did it.

Would it not have been good to get Isco if we wanted to? Or Fabregas perhaps? And we can forget any dreams of Messi or other galacticos for the forseeable future. Not sure how realistic that was anyway. But now we have a situation where other clubs with greater worldwide revenues - scum, real, barca, bayern etc - could spend more than us on transfers and wages. Now we are burdened even further. They can spend even more than us than previously, and they don't have squad restrictions either.

There is no way to dress this up as anything other than a kick in the teeth. Will we live? Yes. But it's still a kick in the teeth.

We can't keep buying up all the players. We have to act like other top clubs and just buy the one or two important players we need each year. We have to keep players happy too - the squad is big enough already

I hear you, but face it we haven't been buying the top players. We haven't signed Neymar, Hulk, Ibra, Cavani, Falcao, Bale, Isco, Hazard. We have bought wisely, and bought players who in the main have punched above their weight. It really fuckin pisses me off that we are a club that can afford these types of players, but we are being stopped from buying them. And now stopped even more so, despite the fact we couldn't buy them in the first place.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, really I don't. I love our players and am happy with the squad in the main. But I just hate cheating twats pushing us around.

I know how you feel mate but the players we bought made us into a team as opposed to a group of stars. As for most of the players listed above, we would have had Isco but he wanted to play in Spain - ditto most of the others so we don't want players who are only coming for the money. The reactions of our players this year shows true kinship and team spirit - worth more than all the billions on some of the so called super stars. you can keep Hulk by the way. We won the league without them and most of those players listed didn't get very far in the CL anyway.
Trust our owners - they know what they are doing

Good point and it did cross my mind but it seems clear it's €60m net spend this summer in total. That's £50m plus any incoming revenue from sales.

The spend figure refers to capital expenditure i.e. the purchase price of player registrations acquired.

Again we could sign Fabregas for an 8m loan with a commitment to buy and get round this again as we will be fine in 15/16 and if he was on. Salary where 50% relies on city retaining prem league status as a safety bonus

I know fuck all about this matter so I'm burying my head in the sand and waiting to see what transpires

I wish one or two others in the same boat as me would do the same

Right there with you blue, for all the wailing and gnashing of teeth, I know this - we will be stronger at the start of next season, be favourites to win the Prem and its going to take something special to stop this juggernaut now its started to roll (channeled my inner RAWK for that one ;).

We will be fine.
