Yup. Part of me is angry at how completely arbitrary this joke regulation has been from the start and today's announcement only reaffirms that view. However a bigger part of me is rejoicing at the fear on the dark side. They really believed this was the end of us, that in Gill they had all bases covered.
Today will just bring back those memories they thought were buried. They will be reliving the Toure semi-final, the 6-1 and Aguerrrrro in vivid detail. They will be thinking about a summer when they spent £150m, the handcuffs were on us and yet we still finish ahead of them.
Rightly, they will feel very vulnerable tonight.

They have batted back every ludicrous rag suggestion with consummate ease
The tears are starting to flow on the caf. They're regressing to pre FFP behaviour and churning out all the old arguments with words like "traditional" and "organic" bandied about with the odd "sugar daddy" thrown in.
They thought FFP was the end of us and are getting a rude awakening.
