City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Some paper says our loss can be max. 20m€ next season. Is this again after we write off youth/stadium costs and old wages? Like that was really successful this time.:D

We easily can fail again unless we improve big on imcomes.

We had a 50m loss in 12-13 but who knows how much of that was helped by the IP deals that did not count as incomes.

Were breaking even in 14 days time.

We have earned 40 million pounds more from the TV revenue than last year. That alone should more than cover it.

But if we dont have incomes from Ip deals like last time that can be 40m less income and that could cancel out the tv deal improvement, no?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

if we wasn't able to still grow buy our transfer targets and strengthen as a club then there is no way we would of took this lying down. we will be fine.

The club as a whole lost £50m. As far as I know, that was including all development costs, etc, which aren't considered under FFP. I don't know how much that would amount to, but break even for the company should actually mean a profit for FFP, assuming that all of our income is considered above board by UEFA.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

And some people on here said Uefa are really worried about a war with us.
Yet we got the same quoted punishment that was rumoured...

And we are so tough, our legal team is bad ass, we wont bend over, Mansour will teach them a lesson etc etc.

Actually that idiot Ed Thompson with his site maybe not that big idiot now as he was called here.

People said we are not bending to Uefa, some said we arent even talking to them, we do not want them lower their offer we wait very carefully because there will be a war...

Ohh Bluemoon.:)

Well get some more sponsors Soriano, thats the job now vut still as we accepted this whole FFP now clearly, we signed up for the spend as much as you earn group, and unles we really can get big sponsors in we will have a disadvantage on Barca, Real/United.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

They're towing the line because they know FFP will actually benefit us from next year onwards. Which was always a possibility.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

50m fine is nothing really. 50m is more than enough to build on a title winning squad. The money generated from the league win should cover the fine too. Spend wisely for this year and it's a new slate clean as it's only one year.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

The only issue we might have is that Soriano's break even calculations will include CL money, which will be €20m lower for next season. The ridiculous thing is that losing that €20m could cause us to fail FFP again, which will then cost us the €40m we'd get back if we passed, which could cause us to fail it again in the next year, resulting in another fine.....you get the picture. I can't wait for the first team to go bankrupt as a result of UEFA's bullshit. See how they weasel their way out of that one.
