G14-driven, true. Protect the cartel at all costs.

Everton, Tottenham etc voted for the Prem's version of FFP, so they can fuck off, they are the ones who might have had a shot at the top with a good investor earlier but had "the dream" taken away with FFP.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Can someone answer me a couple of questions?

Uefa say we must limit spending for the 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 seasons, the first season our limit is 60M Euros, do we know the limit for the second season? And is the second season limit even applicable if we meet UEFA'S targets for the first season?

The Etihad sponsorship can't be classed as a "second tier commercial partnership" as they are our main sponsor. Does this mean we can now renegotiate the terms of the Etihad deal to a similar amount that PSG get from their sponsors, now the benchmark has been set? Or would that be taking the piss?

So that's it then? Our objections to FFP were motivated purely by self interest? Now that it looks like we're alright Jack, nobody gives a fuck about the fact that these regulations will prevent the dream that we've all enjoyed happening to anybody else?

Who gives a shit when the clubs you're talking about all voted FOR FFP whilst we voted against ... we are alright and that is ultimately all that matters.
No other club stood and spoke up against FFP when it looked like we were the one's that were going to get it in the neck.
On the contrary they voted for Prem FFP.
We fought our own battle, let them fight theirs if they want(and they don't).
Some on here would have us save those that don't want to be saved.

Nobody voted for UEFA's rules in fairness.

True but they didn't kick up a fuss either. I've tried to educate other clubs fans in the real agenda behind FFP but mostly it's in one ear straight out the other. I don't feel sorry for those fans but it is sad that they will never experience what we have. Every now and again you will have an Atletico,Dortmund,Southampton etc situation but that sits ok with the cartel and always has as they know they can cherry pick who they like from those teams and they will go back to mediocrity.

They DID vote for the premier league FFPR though...

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Just read somewhere that we get two thirds of the fine back (about £32m) if we comply and meet UEFA's expectations in the next 3 years. Is that true?

The PL needed a two-thirds majority for the fine details of the wage restraints and cap on losses — to be added to the rulebook.

That was 14 clubs in favour, 1 abstained
I'll say again, no-one voted for UEFA's rules - the rules we're actually discussing here. The Premier League rules haven't even kicked in yet.
