City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

I remember Haaland moving to Dortmund, even then he was being touted as a great player, that was the time to move in. Dortmund keep picking up all these bargains.

Top 4 was my argument for the first decade of the PLnot being half as competitive as some people think(the 90s myth). United were never out of the top 4. Liverpool did have their off seasons in the first decade but 7 out of 10 says it all doesn't it?
I was replying to KS55 who said you knew top 3 every year. I would have agreed with him until checked it. They had a spell around 2000 when all 3 were close each year but generally one of them was off the pace.

He was replying to my comments about the top 4 though, if he had said top 4 instead he's not far wrong, read my edit to the post you just replied to, I've added to it.

The teams in the top 4 became far more predictable in that era than it was previously. Just on a quick glance at the 80s(1981-1990), I can see there seemed to always be 2 none big sly 3 teams in there each season, including one none big sly 3 team, it's incomparable. Spurs had as many top 4 finishes as Arsenal did in the 80s(5) and United only managed 1 more than them(6).

From 97 to 2005 United and Arsenal had 9 top 3 finishes each. If not for Liverpool and Chelsea they would have all been top 2 finishes. The PL was heading the way the Bundesliga has gone by the looks of it and that's a league that boasts about all clubs being majority fan owned. That hasn't helped the league stay competitive though has it? If anything, I think that shows something is clearly not right with the ideology that some have, that if you remove rich owners, all of football's problems are solved.

I seem to remember that everyone was after him but his Dad said that he was going to Dortmund as it was better for his advancement.

You checked it, I went by memory. I owe you a fiver, payable on completion of the quadruple.
