City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

When do we play the rags?
Rather like UEFA, the PL are trying desperately to avoid this being tried, as they would be laughed out of court. They have read what CAS said about claims that City's accounts were not a true record. PL credibility is shot if the case proceeds.
The little difficulty is that the PL acts as judge and jury with no appeal.
City would take them to court and win on grounds of unfairness.

I would guess that UEFA and the PL have enough on their hands after having to back down over sanctions to Real Madrid, Barcelona, etc. in the Super League affair. Do they really want to push another club into their camp by a imposing sanctions on City?

Uefa are leaving us alone......... for now. PL are between a rock and a hard place: red shirts complaining vs our accounts a true and fair record.

I think there may be a new toy in town for uefa premier league etc to play with also I think we have to much ammo to hammer so called organisations

The Premier League are under pressure from the red shirts for something to be done.

So they've opted to be seen to be doing something, while actually doing nothing.

Whilst they leave it hanging they are actually doing something in that they are allowing the red shirts and their shills to continue propagate the "cheat" narrative.

That's why they will never, ever admit we've done nothing wrong.

Exactly , we will never be cleared of wrong doing and their reasoning will be something like " couldn't find enough evidence " to persue the case.

Spot on.

The investigation is not designed to root out wrong doing, because there is none, and the Premier League knows it. It is designed to simply exist, because in so doing it satisfies the only stakeholders that matter, the red shirts who lobbied for it and huge swathes of the sports media who are in hock to the old order.

My man.

the barcelona type mess with debts over £1billion is coming to the premier league and united and you can hang your hat on it. after losses with covid-19 utd debts is near the £600million and growing

this should be the FFP real problem and not manchester city money or now newcastle money
we all know the real reason in bring in FFP and it was the so called elite feared losing the easy life and milking the system. its a fair fight they fear ? because how dare somebody challenge them and the system and win

its going to be fun watching what happens over at newcastle now they have new owners
the elite will be all over them like a rash and will not let them spend big with new FFP rules

Remember these provenly false allegations date back to accounts in 2011/2012/2013. The PL have been happy to leave them out there because of pressure from LFC and MUFC who are happy to see City's reputation damaged. The PL is acting in bad faith.

Can anyone remember, or know where to look...... ?
What are the actual punishments for breaking Premier League FFP?
Is it similar to our UEFA fine. (IE. Fine, squad reduction, transfer ban)
Just wondering as regard to our potential situation re: Premier League investigation plus for Newcastle if they decide to splash the cash......

Fine and/or points deduction. Only FIFA could impose a transfer ban.

there is nowhere to look because the rules are made up
plus Manchester city have nothing to fear because i trust the owners in what they say

unlike liverpool and the hacking into manchester city accounts that brake all the rules and should have been punished by the premier league and FA ? but a settlement out of court was issued because both governing bodies did not want to take on liverpool and rubbish their name in public

I'll admit, I couldn't get my head around some of it. Even still, it's amazing what these wealthy billionaire club owners get away with, while we pay our taxes without question or tax avoidance.

A very interesting but complicated Manchester United read. 5th. Unless you're an accountant.

City are 1st. ;-) The reason being......
