Lets see what happens, UEFA cleverly never put any actual possible punishments down in stone, so maybe they feel they can change them year on year.
However, if they are significantly different to what we suffered and we feel ours and a current case are comparable, then we should go for Platini's jugular legally speaking. They pushed fines and restrictions on us which, in reality with the season fast approaching and the threat of not complying meaning loss of income and maybe even being kicked out of certain competitions, meant we could never really challenge it or query it more than we did.
Am sure that UEFA will want to be seen as being very careful what they do here, the whole thing stinks and won't last long in my opinion, its anti competitive and very selective in punishment, but certainly we will be feeling we can adequately prove that we were disadvantaged by this ruling without the opportunity to discuss, not just theoretically in terms of how it affected our chances to compete this last season, but actually in terms of what they took from us under imminent threat of greater action.
I hope it all falls down, I hope Platini gets his just desserts. I hope that in its place something arises to protect all tiers of football without preventing the next Man City from rising to prominence. We may be in the elite club now and be encouraged to keep quiet and enjoy the massage, but the company here stinks of old farts and dinosaurs who enjoy the luxuries and riches of the game rather than the base joy and excitement that most of the players, fans and staff of many clubs actually enjoy the game for in the first place.
