If you think 25/1 is worth a quid, why not put £1 on City not to lose v Newcastle, then put the winnings of that on us not to lose v Liverpool etc., you'd make hundreds if not thousands if it came off and it's the same bet, plus you could "walk away" with your winnings at any point if you didn't fancy us to avoid defeat in the next match.
If we're 1/4 to avoid defeat in each match then that strategy brings in over £400, don't know much about betting so I dunno if 1/4 is a realistic average (sounds pretty poor odds to me).

A lot of things wrong with your post mate,using your method you wouldnt even reach £20 & your going on about hundreds & thousands......

Of course you would, not hundreds and thousands bu at games like Chelsea and Liverpool we will be somewhere around evens not to lose. If you use Betfair for this technique I reckon you would end up with hundreds very comfortably by the end. Not that I would dream of doing so.

You wont mate trust me..i use betfair 7 days a week for 2-3 hours a day..
I kinda know most percentages of most markets on there,i stand by what
i said you woudnt make £20 to a £1 stake....and for the record city will be nowhere near evens against the dippers...try 2/5-1/3 not to lose the match!

To stay unbeaten...City have to overcome the maths of long sequences... which is pretty demanding.

Even if City start off every individual game as 90% favourite to get win or draw...there is only a 1 in 3 chance of going 10 games unbeaten (0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 etc)

To go 20 games unbeaten and the odds drop to 1 in 8.

Chuck in a few games (chelsea away etc) where we are only 60% chance not to lose...and I would say that the rough odds for 27 remaining games are about 40/1 to 50/1.
(this is why arsenal invincibles achievement is so rare).

Having said all that, 25-1 would not be a bad bet on somewhere like Betfair where you can lay it off if we survive next few games...as odds will drop sharply if we survive Liverpool + Chelsea away.

oh dear god, you do know we are only 11 matches into this season...

We do have a fantastic squad, but we could have lost to QPFukingRangers and we have more difficult matchups ahead of us and 25/1 is pure suicide for the remaining matches

if our next 10 games the bookies gave us odds as follows ( random ) selection
you would only manage to win £25


2/7+ 1/2+ 2/7+ 1/5+ 1/2+ 1/2+ 1/2+ 4/11+ 2/7+ 2/5= 26/1

I dont think people understand odds...it is extremley unlikely we would remain unbeaten...but 25/1 is a healthy price & would be suprised if it was readily available!

I will be happy if we are still unbeaten by New Years Day. We won't go undefeated until the end of the season. I am just taking it in blocks of four games. We have to go to Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, none of which are easy. We were given a fright at QPR so I am not getting too giddy after 11 games.

Didn't United have the same record after 11 games in 85/86 under Atkinson and they cocked it up royally.

I don't think you add odds up, or even multiply them because they are not unrelated probabilities, the odds of us being unbeaten for the 10th match GIVEN we were unbeaten for the first 9 would be considerably altered.
