City in crisis

I don't see us in crisis, what I see is a team that needed some fresh impetus and some new hunger bringing in to keep the appetite for winning every game. It's only to be expected that in some moments some players will have a dip in form and a drop in mental attitude. It may be a single moment in a game or it may be a more long term thing. It's only natural when we have won everything that players will lose that % of desire and at the level we play every week it will catch you out.

I also don't feel we have bought players that can perform at an elite level every week. Some aren't good enough and some are too young to perform every week and be a stand out player to make that difference. The likes of Rico, Doku and Savinho need to be coming into a strong eleven where they can get away with the odd mistake that can be hidden or mopped up. Other's like Nunes, Kovacic, Gundo (second time round) are all good quality squad players but can they do it 2 or 3 games every week when asked, I think the answer is clearly no.

Under Pep we have never played with expansive wingers, Mahrez and Grealish were very controlled and I find it very odd he has gone with two potentially good young wingers with flair and skill to try and be more attack minded when there was probably better finished products to gamble on. Can we please buy a left back and a back up for Haaland and can we please try get Haaland on the ball and stop the sideways passing back and forth as he is being woefully underused in the current system.

Second in the league two points off the top and still in a decent postion in the CL and no one gives a fuck about the Carabao cup though Pep probably should've been reminded of that, no we are not in a crisis yet but I hope there won't be one soon.
