City Kits - 2026/27

All that extra white in the kit guarantees the home shirts will only be worn at home with the exception of Rags and Dips away; allowing extra promotion of the away kits at every other game. Both the second, third and obligatory CL bonus kit.

What happened to the 2 year kit rule? There must be a point where kit sales will drop because people cannot afford the latest one every season.

You’ve got me well beaten on shirts (only half a dozen hanging on my closet), and definitely not a full kit wanker, either! ;-)

That said, the look of that kit…sky blue fading to white is absolutely outstanding! Hell, I’d take a white fading to maroon second kit, too, and you could do whatever you want with the 3rd kit!!
Maroon is not a color I much like (at all), but it does go rather nicely with sky blue and white. The kit that I suffered through viewing was the all-fuschia away kit from some time ago. I literally felt sick every time I saw it, but I consoled myself by remembering that it's a privilege to be a City supporter. Sometimes a little personal sacrifice is required...

Do you mean this one? I thought it was a beauty.

Premier League in common sense shocker! Never seen an issue with teams wearing the same colour shorts but busy folk at UEFA/FIFA trying to justify jobs i guess.

Interestingly, our shorts and socks aren’t actually white next season. Shirt fades from sky blue into a sort of pale blue, like if you left a blue sock in your whites washing.

I have no problem with it really. People will buy what they want regardless. Many won't buy a shirt at all, others will buy multiple shirts. It's up to the individual. It gives fans more choice and most people can probably find at least one they like.

It's similar if you go into any sports shop, you'll see loads of Adidas, Nike, Puma etc shirts that are similar in the hope that customers will find at least one that they like.
Fair comment, it's more the price of them I object to. £80 plus for a shirt - any shirt - is just ridiculous, and that's not even the most expensive. Gets worse when you consider you're advertising the sponsors for free.

Have you seen the whole kit then? I've not heard anything about these pale blue shorts and socks before.

I was wondering about that too. Rumours do seem to be strong about this kit but I've never seen or heard any mention of pale blue shorts and socks anywhere else

Hilarious considering "change strips" were only brought in because of black and white TV, when you couldn't tell a red shirt from a dark blue one.
Yes, football seemed to manage perfectly well with teams having the same coloured shorts. More non sensical shite from uefa.

Hopefully it's blue socks not white. Not too bothered but it'll look like our main colour is white from some of the images.
