Unless the people who drew up the rules, knew that driving at 30mph was already illegal, yet turned a blind eye when writing the rules. Just so their favoured ones could do 30mph illegally, which seems to have been the case.It’s absolute bollocks. Like trying to convict someone for driving 30mph in a zone where 30mph was once permissible but now isn’t.

As much as I like the idea, that doesn’t sound like a realistic possibility to me.
It's possibly just positioning that if you think you can't apply the loan issue retrospectively, you also can't look at historic sponsorships, like Etihad retrospectively either, otherwise it's err .... unlawful under competition law again.

I get the impression that there "a number" of clubs who are so annoyed by the PL that they will do anything to show it.
Remember the vote to close the "Chelsea" loophole on asset sales? There was no regulatory reason why that was a bad proposal. Yet enough clubs voted against it to throw it out.
Maybe this minority block of seven votes is going to be a real thing. God I hope so. At least until things change at the PL.
Who were the clubs involved in the end of season "swap" transfers? Chelsea, Villa, Everton? Could be a sign. Each of Newcastle, Forest and Leicester would clearly like to get one over the PL. That's all it takes as long as they have the strength and courage of conviction to stick together.

Tbf, you can't paint all supporters of any club with the same brush. Sure, there were some vociferous Newcastle supporters who were anti-City, but there were also plenty I am sure who knew what was going on.
Just to make the point, I am sure there plenty of City fans who are racist and some who are paedophiles. That doesn't mean you are, or I am.
