City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

The premier league was born out of the greed of five clubs. Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. While Everton have fallen by the wayside it is the jealous greed of the other four to cling onto their monopoly that looks like destroying it.
Still makes me laugh that Spurs are one of them , 1961 , but they had to shoehorn two London teams in didn’t they ? They couldn’t have a totally north west dominance, or even a Villa in the mix.

Yeah, it was odd the times. We started at 7.30 and finished at 4.12. Never found out why it was like that.

I left at the end of 86. Worked on Bay 3 748/ATP with Nigel Bramall as the manager. Oliver Heath was the works manager.
Lancaster club for 4-30.

The same clubs responsible for the ending of sharing of gate receipts with away sides introduced during the earliest days of the football league to help level the financial playing field to improve competition.

This ended a form of FFP that had a positive effect in the redistribution of money, an issue currently under discussion. Everything since including the formation of the Premier League has been in the interests of these few self serving clubs, although Everton has subsequently fallen foul of them.

With such hypocrisy ignored by the PL and MSM, no wonder these clubs oppose a regulator. Their spite knows no bounds in a quest to tarnish and ruin Manchester City and CFG, who have been a major factor in the growth in popularity of the Premier League for well over 10 years. Khaldoon warned them but they chose not to listen. Now they are on the defensive as City fight their corner.

The money is in London and Arse and Spuds proximity to the City meant access to finance against the promise of higher charges for tickets added to a tourist market on tap. Building bigger newer stadia gave them an inherent financial advantage over clubs outside London, especially over poorer areas like the North West, historically the most successful football region. Then there is the political and influencial aspects of being based in London.

The rags and dippers rely on out of town support but have become established in London because of their dominant years and resulting influence. Chelsea under Roman were seen as mavericks who replaced Everton. Manchester City and CFG are a bigger threat because just as Pep and Co have overtaken them on the field, the developments around the Etihad into a 365 day entertainment destination, threaten to destroy the presumptions that were designed to preserve the advantages planned by the American cartel and their trophy dodging associate.

It is increasingly looking like City will win the war.

Both, Chaddy from 66, then after the management had made right old balls up, by outsourcing the parts to satellite sites, also chopping up all the red- line templates, so fook all would fit, and having no proof of the correct part. I ended up chasing the fuselage down the A34 to Woodford for the final years. The 146/RJ ended up being a bespoke aircraft. Interchangeability went out the window. I gave up in 2002. It was a complete shambles.
woodford from 88 to 2011
started as a wireman moving from gec switchgear then into man eng under bernard taylor and eventually under "hi-fi" alan prince

I was based at Chadderton but we were corporate. 1984 to 1987 I was there I think. I was ASTMS union secretary for Chadderton for a couple of years and we got invited to the Apprentice Presentation evening. The chap who managed the apprentices (his name was Harry I think but can't remember his surname) made the mistake of telling me and my union chairman beforehand that he had new false teeth and he was worried they'd. fall out while he was speaking. Me and Paul spent the whole of his speech creased up trying not to laugh out loud watching his efforts to hang onto his teeth.

I thought it was some sort of elaborate joke when I got my offer letter and the hours of work were listed as 8:12 to 4:36 with 42 minutes for lunch.
Did my apprenticeship at Woodford 1972 was in drawing office from 75 left in 84 was in TASS union

Maybe we should all start sharing gate receipts again. In the interests of fairness. Might also lead to lower ticket prices.
