City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Any more information on this I thought it was ok if it reverted back.

He is right, of course. The three City deals were refused under the 2021 rules, so the only change to a new assessment as a result of the arbitration is procedural, the club seeing the benchmarking and being able to comment on it before the PL makes its decision. The question is whether the PL feels strong enough to refuse it again after the new rules, whatever they are, are in place, whenever they are.

And the headline of the article, of course, was nonsense. None of this opens up the possibility of huge deals. It opens up the possibility for sponsors to pay over what appears now to be "market" value to other sponsors providing it's justifiable and not a complete piss-take. Worth noting there has never been a sponsorship that has been a piss-take.

I asked them all

Funny story. When a Frenchman was appointed CEO of our company in Japan he found out the locals always knew when he was in the office. He never knew why but they told me it was because they could smell the milk in his sweat. Every morning it was konich-wa, oh he's in.

Another one: When he first arrived he was determined to show that he would work harder than anyone else. So he stayed later and later to prove it. But each time the locals worked longer and harder. He found out later custom was they couldn't leave until he left. It was fine for him, he was single, but he nearly caused a complete breakdown in the staff.

Oh, and one more on diet (which is the name of the Japanese parliament strangely enough). Our watch bracelets kept failing in Japan, but nowhere else, at least not noticably so. It was finally found out it was due to the amount of fish the Japanese ate, which resulted in acidic sweat corrupting the metal.

Anyway, enough. What about APT? Pffff ....

Headline is nonsense because we were told if City won it was the end of football…….

At the risk of appearing "giddy" to our more supercilious posters, it seems to me that, even if we ignore the wider implications of our successful challenge to the APT rules, this part, in itself, is significant in that, for those subject to refused sponsorship deals, it throws some light on what has been an opaque and easily manipulated process. A lack of transparency is very often an absence of honesty and in the case of the PL, I'd say it almost certainly is.

What a amazing and unusual stat 70% lacotose intolerant how did you know that

I used to work in the dairy industry & they still talk of losing a massive export contract from Japan & a quick google tells you the sponsorship should be approved ;)

“In fiscal year 2022, the annual consumption volume of milk and dairy products in Japan amounted to almost 94 kilograms per person, accounting for the largest type of food eaten. While milk is also drank as a beverage in Japan, the main way of consumption is in a processed form.”

Clear & organised & I’m certain emails will back this up.
