City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

The interesting question is why the PL are pushing this. There is no upside to acting unilaterally and there is no problem waiting a few more weeks. But there is a potentially damaging downside: that the PL get their vote carried and then have to nullify it if the tribunal comes down on City's side.

If I was being cynical and, granted, not just a little judgemental, I would say just pushing forward brazenly and then dealing with the consequences later seems to me to be an American trait rather than a British one, so I can't help thinking the American-owned clubs are still calling the shots here for some reason.

In any case, it's another poor decision by the PL imho.
Is it as simple as their hubris still not allowing them to concede?
They may still feel it is a bit of treachery by recent Panel members who now see UK law rather than PL decisions as the criterion they must observe.

They still see themselves as above the law especially the UK version which up to now they have simply ignored.

The PL clearly have serious issues within their ranks, either due to the arrogance and stupidity of the likes of their own officials such as Masters, or because of the pressure imposed upon them by those members who believe themselves to be an elite and exceptionally powerful group, who are entitled to dictate the way the PL is governed,

Either way, their stubbornness and arrogant stupidity can only result in more problems, delays and serious waste of finances for every member of the PL.

While the likes of Gill n parry have fingers In pie looking after own clubs there will always be issue they have or think they have too much power

You love your job, though, mate. That said, I merely quite like mine (albeit that I deeply resent my taxes going to Uncle Volodya and his merry pranksters for their special military adventure), but even I wouldn't swap.
I do. And I know how lucky that makes me x

We all have to put food on the table and I'm sure that people would point to my own situation as an example of compromising one's personal morality in the interests of my own livelihood. Not that I especially care about it, but I do acknowledge it.

So many of these mendacious twats, however, prostitute themselves by foregoing any sense of decency or professional integrity in pursuance of what they must themselves know to be intellectually dishonest coverage. Laughable that, in doing so, they should try to claim the moral high ground in the way that they do.

Someone like Wallace is so nauseatingly smug in the way he tries to project himself when doing this. He can be a manifestly partial, shameless fake-news liar if he really wants to, but don't try and fucking gaslight us.

The bottom line is Sam Wallace has a 3 inch penis and should be roundly ignored.
