City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

This is possibly one of the reasons so many media people hate us.
At the time around and shortly after the takeover and the words spoken by Cook, Buzzer et al, about City and the future, they all laughed, denigrated, ‘deluded’ and trotted out the lines of ‘sheikh will get bored’, ‘never be better than united/liverpool/arsenal/chelsea’.
It was probably the 2012 aguero moment that, once digested, they realised that all that they had said was not going to happen, had happened and would continue happening at an accelerating rate away from their darlings.
That complete collective cock-up of opinion is a hard thing to swallow. They could have held their hands up and gone ‘yep we are idiots’, but they couldn’t, they couldn’t face up to the facts and their past spouting of bollox, so they doubled down and went nuclear on the negative.
A bit of media humility back in 2012 and it could have been an entirely different story presented, but they chose to be a vindictive pack of liars instead.
I remember seeing a quote from Ryan Giggs when Sheik Mansour first invested in City. He said he would start worrying about it when City start winning trophies. My thought at the time was that would be when it's too late. An arrogant reply from a club that assumed they would keep winning. How wrong he was. And now we are eating their lunch everyday.

It wasn't. FFP came in in June 2011, and the payments to Mancini were made at least in the year to 2012 and possibly in the following season as well.

Wasn't 2013/14 the first year of the first monitoring period for the PL?

Mancini was terminated by then. So maybe just his termination payment included in PL FFP (which presumably didn't include anything from AJ anyway)?

For UEFA, his contracts would have impacted in FFP in 2011/12 and 2012/13, but those periods were time limited in 2018?

The first monitoring period started in 2011/12, and was that year plus the following one. It then moved to a 3-year basis.

According to the Daily Fail, City winning would open the door for PL games to be played in America.

More bullshit from the Rag infested football media to turn even more football fans against City.

The Mail needs to be banned from the club regardless of the outcome. Always making shit up and non stop negative stories with us, amazed the club has not banned them years ago

City were criticised by journalists abound when they said the APT rules would affect funding in other areas. Thr other PL clubs are making the same arguments, where is their critiscism. PL clubs are being greedy and pathetic, give the money to the EFL regardless of the outcome (something City actually voted for).
