Tyranny! There is a precedent for charging clubs for breaches before rules became rules ;-)

It sounds to me rather like the difference between tax avoidance (which is legal) and tax evasion (which is not). The PL has admitted that none (of their very controversial) rules are broken, but that clubs are "acting in bad faith"! This is like Robespierre's claims that opponents were executed for "bad moral character" (the law of Prairial). Isn't "acting in bad faith" one of those mean anything you like rules meant to trap any club you've got it in for (usually City, but it'll do for any club showing signs of improvement)? There is nothing wrong with it though, is there, in terms of complying with the rules.
I will have to learn to insert ;)

Everybody wants CFA players. They were genuine transfers of players expected to play a lot at the buying club and I don't recall us paying 20m for a Burnley academy product in return.
AcceptedNot us, we have not arranged any swaps, which is the sharp practice. Ours are straightforward sales mainly following loans.
Blame City! 116Thanks Matt.
Cracking bit of loopholism.
Let’s see what the PL do next to try and stop this.
Personally I say fair fucks to all those clubs who are doing this. To my knowledge, there are no PL rules stating what clubs can buy and sell players for and who they can buy from and sell to.Thanks Matt.

Cue yet another amendment to the handbook rule w8769.5 All transfers fees between member clubs must be assessed and approved by the premier leagues newly formed transfer panel and voted for in a 75% majority. The panel will be headed by Scruffy Jim and formed with members John Hendry, Stan Kroenke & Dan Levy. In the event of a split decision then Dickie Masters will have the deciding vote. Their will be no right to appeal the panel's decision and the transferred player will be excluded from being registered for the buying club & the fee for the selling club excluded from PSR calculations. The fee for the buying club will contribute to PSR despite the club being unable to register the player. Once the buying club sell the unregistered player that fee will also be excluded from PSR calculations.Personally I say fair fucks to all those clubs who are doing this. To my knowledge, there are no PL rules stating what clubs can buy and sell players for and who they can buy from and sell to.
