I'd agree that it invites ridicule and that's what it receives from anyone who has any idea of the issues involved. Unfortunately, our voices are drowned out by thunderous bellows of laudatory idiocy from the far greater numbers who regard him as delivering what they want. I suspect it may have bothered him and his ilk at one time, but he's probably made his peace with it now.
