Apologies - have checked back & Grealish had the best expected assists per 90 mins in PL last season *in open play* ... so I wasn't remembering quite right ... but still says something about how dangerous he is ?Have you got the source?
Based on understat or fbref he wasn't second in his own team.

That’s what every other top prem team does , play your best core players every game and rotate the underlings if neededRegardless of stats, we are a better team with him than without him. Just as we are a better team with Bernardo in the middle alongside Rodri.
I'd like to see a midfield 3 of Rodri, Bernardo and KDB and a forward 3 of Foden, Grealish and Haaland.
Obviously some rotation is needed at times but that is our best front 6 IMO.

The number of games is too small to mean anything. This sort of thing needs to be shown over a season or more to really show anything.
There have also been recent wins against Sevilla and Fulham where he started the game and did sod all. We weren’t winning or playing well while he was on the pitch and was taken off at half time (Sevilla) or early in the second half (Fulham, 63mins) because of how poor he was and where we improved as a team without him on the pitch and went on to win.
But they’re two games that add to this stat.

You’re going to crazy lengths to try and play down Grealish in this thread. Seems a bit odd to be like this towards one of our own players.
