Not surprised by that at all. The amount of space he creates, as well as how good he is at retaining possession in the final
third, has a huge impact on enabling others.

Out of interest, wonder how many games we’ve won/ not won depending on whether Bernardo has been in central midfield as that’s the other thing that I thought we really missed against Brentford.
 
He's possibly a bit unlucky in the way many people view him.

For example, the player with the highest expected assists per 90 mins in the Premier League last season, was Jack Grealish.
KDB was second & Salah third.
