Gutted cost me a fucking fortune to get me & my son over to wembley not only that the long hours of travel there and even worse on the way home but I can deal with that but the hardest part was havin to consol my 6 year old when Wigan scored he knew it was over and was devastated ,me like many other blues have been through the ups & downs of following city & would've thought them days was over but maybe it's no harm in all the new/young blues feeling the lows now & again like we have , sayin that that was possible the lowest point for me following city not the losing as much but seeing the little fella inconsolable over city losing .....CTWD

Know how you feel.....but I don't think it was just about the players....the press f*cked us up...the clubs failure to handle the press f*cked us up, Marwood f*cked us up when he failed in the transfer market, and don't believe it when people tell you these rumours don't affect the players cos it does. I was at Spuds the night Hughes was sacked and it was the same dismal performance as Saturday

Hughes was not sacked at Spuds, his team gave up on him that night. He was sacked after Sunderland but it all amounts to the same.

I agree with OP, some hurt does you no harm, it is how we respond to that now as fans and a club.

Currently for me it not looking too good but football changes very quickly.

People can't blame the press or city's PR department for Saturday. I don't even think Mancini is to blame. The players lacked any desire on Saturday and that is a fucking disgrace. I will never understand footballers. If it was me out there, and I heard the manager was sacked and could, rightly so, feel disgusted by it, you still go out there and win the fucking cup for the fans. How can you not be self motivated to win a final? You shouldn't even need a manager to pep talk you. Maybe I'm doing Wigan a disservice here, but they clearly wanted it more and for me that is the main reason why we lost!

He got sacked after Sunderland but I know what you mean. Same with sven at boro away although no matter what them players are good enough and earn enough to be able to beat Wigan.

the club let us down, putting the manager and players out with all this shit swirling around and staying silent it was only going to end in tears, disgusting position put the guys in,having said that we could have won with a bit more focus from the lads on the pitch..I really feel for you guys who took your excited kids to that and who were really upset

In over fifty years plus supporting City, that is the first time I have been ashamed of the team wearing the shirt.
Even the players who could be said to have played well individually like Kompany need to look at themselves in a mirror, he was captain but I saw no leadership when it was needed.

All the players went through the motions while waiting for someone else to put the effort in, its just a pity they could not have their paychecks ripped up in front of their faces at the final whistle to show them how much they were worth at that moment.

I can accept losing it's all part of following any club but especially this one but it's a concept United fans seem hard to fathom out this morning as I brushed off their mocking gestures with the best team won and congratulations to them we have no complaints.

What I really can't get mt head around though is our performance. It's too easy to suggest it's all down to the Pellegrini rumours. If it's true Mancini has lost some players then surely those players should have been lifted by that news. Also these footballers are professional people, internationals and constantly tell you they're not affected by these types of things. They should be playing for the club, themselves, their families. their own self pride and us the fans not just fucking Roberto Mancini.

I hope they had a good look around the stadium at full time and saw three quarters of the ground weren't celebrating and felt fucking embarassed by their performance and that they had let so many supporters down, but somehow I doubt it.
