Me & my dad used to go & watch the central league sometimes & the bloke near us used to call Mellor "spider" because his legs seemed so long & thin :-)

I used to go with my Dad, we called him legs although Spider seems to be the chosen nickname. I'm pretty sure he was a postman at Wythenshawe when he played as an amateur.
