City monitoring the forum

The Ticket Office staff are usually very helpful when I eventually get through. Not everyone like I’ve said. It’s a case of Lions led by Donkeys IMHO. The ticket office staff aren’t insisting on the excessive changes to ticketing rules. That’s the Execs above them.

I'm not admitting to anything because City are watching and Ric is actually farming information and selling it to Manchester City football club. I have searched the phone book for gordondaviemoustache and have come up empty.

Just between us I suspect most if not all of the posters on here are like Walter Mitty and are lying about their real identity :)
they dont need your username, theyll just look for a drenched women standing in the rain shouting down the phone follow her and theyll find you

If City are interested in monitoring websites looking for dubious or suspicious ticketing practices, they should have a look at Viagogo, Seat Unique, Get Me In, etc, where they can find multiple tickets for City games on sale. Then again, I suppose City already know where those tickets are coming from !

I don't think most people complaining about the ticket office are complaining about the staff. I try to deal with it directly as little as possible, but when I have, I've found the staff to be pleasant and knowledgeable. Which is rare for most call centres.
However, I wouldn't be anywhere near as complementary about Halford's ignorant old farts at the Maine Road ticket office.

I had terrible experiences with the Maine Road Ticket Office lol

They thought that treating fans like shit was part of the match experience
Like the time I worked until Saturday lunchtime and thought I’d have a change from the Kippax and sitnin the North Stand. The only thing was I couldn’t because the chair was broken and the barbed wire would have decapitated me. I knew something wasn’t right when the ticket office staff member delved into an old box ad pulled out a season ticket book and passed me my ticket.

A helpful steward helped me to get another seat. The JCL’s don’t realise how bad it was back then.

The place was a shitshow. I was working on the membership cards as a 17 year old and as we had finished all of our work one day they said to go and help out at the ticket office. Useless is being polite for that lot. I didn't return from my early lunch that day.

Just letting everyone know to watch out what they post on this forum, I swapped my ticket with a blue who was sitting in the lower tier and when he tried to scan in - the ticket wasn't working. And when I tried downloading it to my phone it would say "ticket has been canceled". We went to the ticket office and the rep showed me a screenshot of a message I'd posted on this forum a few days ago saying I was going to use my brother's ticket (which was unrelated). So they must have seen the message looked up supporters called Felix and then canceled the ticket to make me come to the ticket office on the day. The reps were absolutely no help, we ended up trying to convince them we'd swap back which we would have but they still refused to print my ticket off.

Unbelievable

So that’s what Supporters Services are doing when we have to spend hours in the phone waiting for them to answer.
Supporters services are not fit for purpose,I’ve said it for years. I don’t blame the staff but whoever is in charge needs to be f ked off out of the place.

The first time I visited Maine Road we sat in the main stand on brown-painted pews. i thought I was in church, and my prayers had been answered - we'd whipped Blackpool 2-0!

Great stuff Dave. Much better than when I turned up in the main stand 5 minutes late against Blackpool in the Cup and watched them score. I sad oh shit, Blackpool are 1 nil up. The bloke next to me said it’s 2 nil to Blackpool and it was. I think we made a good comeback anyway.

Only one Football Club in Manchester still. Massive.

It’s a long time since I laughed so much at a thread. I love BlueMoon.
It’s almost as good as MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD!
BlueMoon the best forum in all the land and all the world. :-) :-)

It's naive to think that organisations, City included, don't monitor public forums and social media platforms for information that directly affects their business.

Apropos of not much, I have to regularly check a forum on behalf of a client in the hospitality industry, it's similar to Tripadvisor but it features information about prostitutes, rating their 'performance' but also the meeting places. My client needs to know if their establishment is mentioned so it can alert staff to be on the lookout for working girls (and boys).

It's the bleakest site imaginable, think Bluemoon match day forum stripped of the warmth and patient understanding but with added lingua franca and explicit details of shenanigans.

Reminds me of the 2010s when there were lots of criticisms of "bankers" and The Guardian published an anonymous article by a woman who worked on the desk at NatWest. I don't think they were talking about her, lads.
