I thought that was likely. It isn't - it's the rankings of clubs which is used for CL/EL seedings.

How are we ahead of Chelsea when they've actually won the CL in recent years, and won the PL this season?
As with the Raggies having won the UEFA Cup.
I wouldn't trust FICKFUFA to come up with any sensible rankings at the best of times. The international rankings always leave me shaking my head wondering how X manages to get ahead of Y.

Starting to sound like the rags, If I remember correctly we were drawn against the winners of Spain, Italy and Holland I think and we kicked off about conspiracy theories because of it (Think we came third or something ???), memory isnt what it used to be.Would we be in Pot 1 in one of the last two seasons if the rules didn't change to league winners at Pot 1?

its a genuine question. If the coefficient rule stayed, would we be in Pot 1? Nothing against the new ruling its better this way.

No. City have never been in the top 8 sides, or close enough to be in pot 1.

Not that it matters but a decent showing this season would put us into the top 8.

I think we'd be 1 position off & the highest rated Pot 2 team. It's better this way though. Would be even better if each Pot had a maximum of 1 team per country.

Was it CL in 2012/13? When we were drawn with Real, Dortmund, and Ajax after all four of us won our respective leagues the season before?
