City or Your Country?

Bosnia is going to be disqualified on 1.April.2010 if our National Federation doesnt change the Statue. Now all three (Bosnians, Croats and Serbs) have one Man in it, the Fifa/Uefa wants us to change that and set only one generall Directior. So, thats like impossiable and the Uefa will suspend all our Squads on 1.April from Qualify, etc till 2012.

But, there is nothing bigger then our National Squad, nothing, none Club. There are hardcore ultras from Zeljeznicar, Celik and Sarajevo but they all one when its about Bosnia.

International football means nothing to me, it's City and thats it.


I'm begining to think it's a Manchester thing and specifically City, most blues i know choose club over country whilst hand over heart...that is not the case with other fans.

Just in my experience.

watched 1st 2 mins and got bored, fast forwarded it to 6 mins and still same stuff, again to 12 mins was still same stuff and looked very much like keepy uppey to me.

There was a young lad at Coms doing this recently (cant remember the game Reading maybe) and I wasn't that impressed tbh.

Not my thing to be fair but if you're into it then fair enough, and £300 for 20 mins can't be sniffed at especially in this climate.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one, for me there is no bigger honour to represent your country in any sport and along with that is that their is no bigger games than the ones that involve your nation.

Friendly matches I can understand the frustration as the league stops for games that are seen as unimportant or pointless, but for this thread to come up when England are to play in a qualifier for the Euros against a neighbouring country I find it a bit mad.

I can't wait until Saturday, the atmosphere is going to be immense.

Growing up in the 90's the England football team will always = beckham, neville, scholes, gerrard, shearer etc. to me. I'd go for the away day but to actually cheer on Rooney and Gerrard with a load of Stone Island clad racist muppets from Stoke. No thanks, i'll stick to City with gods own.

I like international football tournaments, but I have no feeling towards England. Too many players I really dislike, and the thought of getting caught up in the ROONEY ROONEY seal clapping nonsense, is not my cup of tea really. Plus being lumped together with the muppets who make borderline BNP comments about how we can't wear our England shirts, can't fly our flags, because it offends darkie's and the PC brigade, is something I would rather not take part in.

what would u expect the non-english fans to say? So your country has been a laughing stock recently and many have "abandonned" cheering for them (for now) but why place this against international fans? Surely you can't expect argentinian/spanish/german/bosnian/italian fans to feel this way. Like balkanno said, National Teams give the greatest sense of pride to people and allow fellow countrymen to unite.
