City player of the year 2012

Tough one to call but i went for Vinny!
Sheer class on and off the pitch... Top man!

Surprised Lescott wasn't in there as an option?
He's been brilliant this season...

Would of been Lescott for me TBF he should of been ahead of Micah. It's a tough choice but I've gone with Sergio Aguero to score nearly 30 goals in a debut season it's just fantastic. David Silva would of been my choice but he's cold run of form could see him miss out. Wouldn't suprise me if any of them won it to be honest bar Micah I just don't think he's done enough to win it.

All had there merits and all have contributed valuably to the season, hard to pick just one but I went for Big Joe MK II. Vinnie out due to suspension and injury ( not his fault), David out for a minor dip in form over a tired period (not Joe), Micah out due to a couple of knocks and rotation (again not his fault), Yaya out due to ACON ( trivial but ruled him out for us) and Sergio just for a couple of missed games through injury and rotation again (also not his fault).
It's nice to rule so many high quality nominees out on such trivial reasons as it shows our quality that any one of them could justifiably win it, and we didnt even have fans favourites such as Joleon, Zab, Barry or Carlos ;o)

Not too many of our players have played to a high level of performance on a very consistent basis. The ones who have are:
Joe Hart
Sergio Agüero
Toure Yaya
Joleon Lescott
...so they are my leading four.

There are players who can perform to excelling levels, as good as anyone in their position on the planet, but have been inconsistent:
Vincent Kompany
David Silva

Then there are some others who are very good very often:
Micah Richards
Pablo Zabaleta
Nigel de Jong
Gareth Barry

But my vote has to go to - and this is deserved by a million miles over everyone else - JOE HART!

Not for me. Poor first three games of the season, very poor at Chelsea, two poor games in Jan, worst game of his career against Sunderland(home). There are players who've only had one bad game.

Yaya without a doubt,he is the most important player in our midfield maybe even the team. And his skill and consistency and versatility are unmatched.
