Milner as well, City 2013 and the cult last yearDennis Tueart 73 for Sunderland and 81 for us.
Tommy Johnson? There‘s also at least one City player who appeared in a FA Cup final for City and then appeared in one against City.
Trick question Gary? Women’s team maybe? There‘s also at least one City player who appeared in a FA Cup final for City and then appeared in one against City.
Patrick VieiraDid Fabian Delph play in a FA Cup Final for Villa?
So far I can think of 3 that have played in an FA Cup Final for City and a Final for someone else:
Gaz Baz, Lescott and Clichy
Edit: Clichy was League Cup and FA Cup . I always though Nasri was FA Cup for both. He too, was League Cup and FA Cup as was Sagna.
Are we talking 33 / 34 or 55 / 56?There‘s also at least one City player who appeared in a FA Cup final for City and then appeared in one against City.
Vieira, Lescott? Is Dave Bennett the only one to have played in an FA Cup final for another club and in one for City?
That’s what I thought but then looked to see if any player from our 1926 team that then played for Everton ‘34 And came up with JohnsonAre we talking 33 / 34 or 55 / 56?
Spluttered on me corn flakes reading that. Could‘ve sworn Tueart didn’t play in ours. Yet there he is: last 10 minutes sub in the replay… must’ve missed that, in depths of miseryDennis Tueart 73 for Sunderland and 81 for us.
Definitely not a trick question. It’s the men’s team and this player was idolised by City fans and they were extremely angry when he was sold. Crowds dropped following his departure.Trick question Gary? Women’s team maybe?
Playing for City? None of those. Against City, yes one of those. Are we talking 33 / 34 or 55 / 56?
Yes it was. 1926 for City. 1933 for Everton. He lived in Gorton and occasionally brought Dixie Dean to Gorton to have a few beers in the Plough. Wish he’d done that onthe morning of the 33 final then City might’ve stood a chance!Tommy Johnson?
That must have been some pairing!Yes it was. 1926 for City. 1933 for Everton. He lived in Gorton and occasionally brought Dixie Dean to Gorton to have a few beers in the Plough. Wish he’d done that onthe morning of the 33 final then City might’ve stood a chance!
Yes Tony Henry was sub in the first game, Tueart in the replay.Spluttered on me corn flakes reading that. Could‘ve sworn Tueart didn’t play in ours. Yet there he is: last 10 minutes sub in the replay… must’ve missed that, in depths of misery
