Thinking more gooner than rag.

I agree with bumble, lescott is poor will be gone next summer. Dont know whats happened to milners ability on the ball he showed at villa
Tell it as it is and they all shout "rag" England were outplayed in every position tonight and no England player Except for Carrol was really worth a mention.

Lescott Decent defensively, very ordinary bringing the ball forward, lost posession a couple of times out of position when he looked stranded.

Barry Hard to judge because Henderson next to him looked out of his depth, not a great game though

Milner Better centrally than wide left, better still further back.

Richards Thought he played pretty well though occasionally slow getting back.

Johnson Looked Englands most dangerous player on the ball shame he couldnt find anyone on the crosses.

Milner was quite clever and very energetic.

Lescott was the usual shit, awful passing. you think he's doing okay in defence because he's reading the game alright, but every so often he just wanders a bit. definitely at fault for their second, stood far too deep, was a yard deeper than everyone else all the way through the move, came another yard too close, and left enough space for france to get not one, but two players in behind him.

Barry just looked below par.

AJ looked great, good feet, good delivery but spoilt it by yet again ignoring the man in a clear goalscoring opportunity and trying for the unlikely goal.

Richards had bugger all to do and did it with ease.

Why is he a rag??

That's his assessment, and I think it was pretty accurate.

Some of you need to take your blue specs off.. who the hell thinks Barry and Milner had a good game?? Both overrated.

Who said Barry had a good game, somebody mentioned earlier that he was along side somebody making their debut, so had to be on his toes a bit more than usual.
Milner did alright, nothing more and nothing less than anybody else in an England shirt tonight.
I think he is a rag because he slated all the City players except AJ, who united would love in their side.

Milner - not bad, one of England's harder working players, wasted a chance or two but also had his moments.

Barry - very poor. I rate him but more in certain types of games, like the Chelsea game. In matches where we need pace and high tempo for club and country, he is almost the symbol of the monotony.

Lescott - some good moments defensively but otherwise very poor and looked more a 3 million quid player than 24 million quid player. Honestly could replace him with a 3-7 million young defender as backup and not see the difference, while slashing wages.

Johnson - a lot more dangerous than every other England player, made some good runs but often had the English syndrome of not using his brain and getting the end product wrong. But his skill helped create some of England's better moments near the end.

Micah - not bad at all, much better than Jagielka at RB and fair going forward. He is a better player than Glen Johnson which says more about the state of English right-backs than anything as it is questionable as to whether he is good enough to play for City anymore.

You slated Lescott when he was no worse than any other player and you seem to have very little positive to say about any City players in your previous posts.
Go figure.

richards - played well when he came on

Aj - as with richards

barry - does the basics really well - just wish he was a bit more mobile but makes up for it most of the time with intelligence.

Milner - just a work horse.....one good through ball to gerrard but nothing much else. Still think he is vastly overrated

lescott - ok defensively but his distribution let him down at times

Just got in from Wembley...still takes over an hour to get to the tube from the stadium : /.

Being able to see the whole pitch rather than just what the TV shows you is reallly useful. Lescott was the best defender today by a country mile. He was calm, decisive and no-nonsense. He was let down a lot by Barry and Henderson and was forced to hoof the ball forward in Carroll's general direction.

Barry was terrible, worst I've ever seen him play.

Sagna had Milner for pace all game, but you can't fault the guy for determination and energy.

Johnson took the solo route a bit too often, Micah was offering far more support than Jagielka was to Walcott. His delivery was a little spasmodic too.

Richards was solid and a willing runner for Johnson, and probably pushed his cause most because the RB position is more up for grabs than any of the others.
