City Players who "never had a bad game"

Players have good games and players have bad games. It happens to them all. But there are players who manage to keep a high level of performance week in, week out, and these are a real asset to any team.

In the current team I'll nominate Clichy and Barry as the two players who have the fewest "bad games".

In the past I remember David James being outstanding every single week. Kevin Horlock's another who rarely had a dip in form.

Who do you nominate as the "never had a bad game" Gold Medal Winner?

Barry - quietly Mr Consistent

I don't think you can look much further than Alan Oakes in this category. The very definition of Mr Consistentcy over a very long time for us. Revie and Shankly both spoke of him in glowing terms.

Absolutely ... I saw his debut and I saw the first match he played for Chester all those years later .... the Bell, Lee and Summerbee group get the plaudits ... but they will say just how much Alan Oakes added to the team

The one and only barney Daniels scored twice as many goals as he played? No fkr can beat that record so fk off rughead !

Alan Oakes,he was Mr.Consistency for over a decade and his cousin wasn't too shabby either.
Though more recently,I'd plump for Zabaletta and Barry but not enough to say never a bad game.

Someone we spoke to after the game thought Gaël Clichy was absolute garbage on Sunday.

Oakes, Bell, Power and possibly Bish. Some games might have passed him by, but played badly, probably not.
