UEFA deducts it out of the match fee, but knowing that it is astonishing that the seats were put there in the first place. At least Mr City's row 1 seat is on the blind side of stadium so not affected. We effectively break even but that's because we spend big money on the squad, leading to higher amortisation, therefore higher operating expenses and lower profit.
And to get back to the point of the thread, I doubt we're getting more money for advertising but it's more likely that we're simply replacing the existing signage with newer kit, which meets UEFA requirements. Because, as I've already said, we have to put different signage in on CL nights and I believe we have to hire that kit, paying for it out of our own pocket.
But it might be something to do with anticipated demand for advertising and commercial sponsorship if a certain Argentinian joins us.
I'd understand if those seats had been in place before we ever qualified for the CL but they were put there after we'd been in the CL for a few seasons.UEFA deducts it out of the match fee, but knowing that it is astonishing that the seats were put there in the first place. Have united fulfilled their obligations under PL rules since 2017 to provide a minumum 1,000 pitchside seats for away supporters? Or like Newcastle do they just flout the rules on spurious ‘police safety’ advice?only for cup games 10%

See also united and Liverpool, probably the biggest beneficiaries of VAR, refusing to instal big screens
Always found it distasteful in the least that they shoved their disabled fans in front of the most outright and obvious hostility frontline in the stadium, like some sort of afterthought. Some of those fans may have conditions and vulnerabilities that make that location particularly challengingUnited get away with it by saying their disabled section is at the front of the away section (which is true). A couple of Blues I know who go in there for Derbies say its not great being in there as all sorts of shit gets thrown at them by our supporters behind them actually.
As for big screens/ VAR I can't recall a single decision being shown on our big screens.
