City snub £16.7m offer for Robinho

He served his purpose and kick-started the revolution but found the going too tough after that. Recoup £20 mill + and say farewell.

Keep him. What's the worst that can happen?

There is only a point in keeping him if there is a realistic chance of him making a genuine contribution again. Personally I don't think he will as he doesn't want to come back and I think the club have probably had enough of him. We need to cut our losses in my opinon. At this rate we'll end up shelling out on his wages for the next 12 months just to end up selling him for even less a year down the line. At best we'll loan him out again and get some of his wages off the bill for a year. We'd be better off with the 16 million and everyone being able to move on, I think. If we can push them up to 20, I'd bite their hand off.

The rags will have to pay 50m to get Sneijder mate. At least.
Maybe so, but we'd have to pay £70m. They would get him for less than £50m though in my view, because they are one of the players, the big boys who people take seriously when it comes to major deals because they don't have to chuck daft wages/fees about because they are who they are. Thats by the by though, the point I was making is we have overpaid on probably all the deals we've made since the takeover, all bar Barry and Johnson i'd say, (that tells its own story with them being English). The others though, we will never recoup the fee back, not even close. Robinho should be sold if the bids reach £20m, thats my view on it anyway.

But Inter is really not a club that sells their great stars unless a mindboggling offer comes along.

I agree we have paid over the odds, but so did Chelsea back in the day. It's the reality of being so rich. Barry and Johnson had only one year left so they were cheaper of course and should be judged in that light.

This. Robinho will always be a fond memory.

We don't need another Anelka, sold to Turkish club cheap then sold for profit year after.
Get him back, sit him down and tell him he's going nowhere unless bid of 30m comes in (the best way to do that is to play out of his skin)

Funny how the price we paid for Robinho goes up as the £ goes down. Pretty sure it was a one off payment.

We should accept 30M euros and cut our losses, the current offer is to low.
