Had the day off work today so made the 1 hour drive to COMS to pick up some goodies from the store. Staff very helpful-range of merchandise very wide and all seemed to be good quality stuff BUT-I was particularly wanting books and DVDs. I especially wanted the new Gary James Big Book of City plus maybe a couple of DVDs. Downstairs all there was was a DVD of the 69 Cup Final, last seasons review DVD (which I've already got), an autobiography of Colin Bell and I'm not a fan of ghost written stuffand very little else. A staff member told be books and DVDs were upstairs but up there it was the same extremely limited choice. Given the amount of books about City over the years-which are reviewed in the programme- I found this very surprising and disappointing.Surely in the City club store you would expect more to be stocked. Anyone?

I think the store could and should be a lot better,as for the upstairs counter nothing is priced, hence people dont ask = less sales.I have pointed this out on several occasions to staff but still the same.

City had 500 copies of my book delivered in October and I understand they still have over 300 left. I understand they are on display but I've not been in recently.

Not been in for a while but last time i went to the ticket office there were plenty of different books in the display cabinets.

Have to admit that I think the store/range of merchandise is the one main area our club has got worse instead of better.
Stuff for women is absolutely dreadful and I've given up even looking now. If they can't cater for me, they can't have my money! :(

If anyone is struggling to get the book... the store do have copies so ask one of the staff. If not then you can order direct from the publisher www.manchesterfootball.org (publications page has the details). My publisher will post the book out by next post and will send it first class to UK (UK postage included in purchase price of £19.95). Also, he has a supply of copies signed by me, so you'll get one saying Best Wishes Gary James (unless of course you'd prefer it without).

Cheers,

Gary

Also the the Black away shirt bigger Sizes, you are always seem to be waiting for, again sold out of the bigger sizes!! fucking hell, what are they buying these in ones & two's come on city, had to wait month's for the white & Blue training tops, The wife wants to buy me something for 2009 christmas not 2010 LOL

Are we sure that stocks aren't just running a bit low this close to Christmas (although they shouldn't obviously). Couple of years ago I wanted to get the framed picture of Nedum that the club did for my then Girlfriend for Christmas, try as I might I couldn't get hold of one as they simply just sold out.

Don't think so, no. This season, stuff has been constantly "sold out" - my husband ordered the away shirt for my birthday (Sept) and finally got it in time to give me for Christmas! It's not just ladies' stuff either - they really don't seem to have got their ordering right in any area.

The online shop is also poor with a limited range. I went on Villa's online shop to buy a present for mate in the midlands[sad bugger]----their range was tons better.
