City Tattoos

I agree with brass neck to a certain extent. I think tattoos can be both fashionable and ugly.

Don't get em..........especially on women.....Don't they realise in 50 years they are going to be a old granny with a stupid dumb ass tattoo on there shoulder/arm/tit/ass/leg/ etc etc. Ive said it before and ill say it again..Tattoos are there for a reason, they say a certain something about a person, if i was a employer and someone had a tattoo, I wouldnt employ them over a clean cut bloke in a suit because i would be thinking if there daft enough to get a potentially life threatening needle in there arm and ink smudged in....are they daft enough to rob me/not turn up/assault clients/leave the canteen cooker on over night/get pissed at work/....

Tattoo's are right up there with the nutters who put holes through there children in the name of scally fashion...children who are barely old enough to talk never mind decide they want a chavy ear ring....
you are slightly out dated to be fair.I do agree to some point, when they are on the hands/face etc,but in areas that can be covered by a shirt shows me that the person has common sense and will not allow personel things to effect their job.I;ve plenty of friends from all backgrounds through playing football and tatoo;s are found across the social spectrum..

Getting a tattoo is the sort of thing that happend to jews in concentration camps. My Grandfather and great grandfather were both in the merchant navy but didn't have tats because they are "common". In 50 years time god willing I will be laughing at the tattooed f*ck-wits in my care home who thought a celtic band looked good in the 90's. If you want a needle stuck in you go to the vets - £30 to end it all.

What kind of nonsensical argument is this?
So tattoos were enforced on some,(but not all),jews in concentration camps?
Gas was used in the chambers as well, but it doesn't stop people having a gas cooker or central heating system, ffs.
Tattooing has been a tradition of body adornment for thousands of years, spanning the Roman empire, the ancient Greeks,Aztecs,Incas, ancient Britons,(Boudicca sported one),so i'd say it has a tad more longevity than your grandad.
If you get off on laughing at Celtic bands, then perhaps a care home is the best place for you.
Tattoos may not be to your taste - fine, don't have one - they ain't compulsory.
But leave off the judgemental shite and accept that others think differently.

I've got the old badge, i've seen loads of people with the newer eagle one & every one of them looks shite.

Ive got a barcode on my left bicep where if a=1 and b=2 etc the numbers underneath it spell out mancity, i like it because its not obvious until i tell people what it means.

Im not getting into the argument of the pros and cons of tattoos because some people will never agree and some people will. I kind of think the best argument was put forward earlier in the thread which was the one that people with tattoos wont discriminate against those without which i think says alot

I have a question about tattoos for anyone that has got one.
I f I get a tattoo on my stomach or chest and then lose/gain lots of weight, what happens to the tattoo? Does it become really shrunk/stretched??
