Not exactly correct. When we won it in 1970, we played Chelsea in the semis the following season, as Chelsea won the FA Cup the same night we won the Cup Winners Cup.

yeah if you did win any off the 3 cups in europe you was the cup holders and then giving you a place in the cup for the follow season but that was the most you could have in it 2 not 4 and managers and clubs making a living out of 3rd/4th place in the league is not right for football its now glory if you finnish 4th over winning silverware like the FA cup or league cup that can not be right

Totally agree the Daily Mail supporting City and its fans has to be a first for then truly shows the injustice against us - can any one provide the link ?
Would be a great read for all and will certainly pull us even closer together and create a siege mentality which will only help us,I'm sure Vinny is all over this after the way we got treated In Russia.

The Daily Mail is well down the list of being pro-EU as affects Britishness, and a rebellion of this kind is manna from heaven to them even if the background to this story is something they may miss. Nevertheless, the paper's natural inclination is to be anti-City so it may be a case of being caught between two stools in this instance.
