City to expand Etihad to 62,000?

My view all along has been to build and extend asap. Look how quickly 32,000 became 47,000 became 54,000. NUFC, AFC and MUFC saw their crowds rocket each time their capacities increased and ours can do the same. I'd have two main requirements though - build to ensure sound bounced back into the stadium & so that the 3rd tier of some stands can be closed (and hidden easily) for cup games. Make it clear from the start that the new extended stand is for League games only - and then every time it's used for anything other than PL games it's stressed that demand is such that tier 3 has been opened. It can be turned into a positive.

Today is an appropriate day to remember that demand can be there. I'll be posting this on my Facebook later:

Today in 1947 – A solitary goal from Alec Herd was enough to give MCFC promotion. The attendance for this game was recorded by the media at the time as 67,672 but official records reviewed almost sixty years later show that the attendance was actually 69,463. Not bad for a Second Division game. In fact it’s higher than the record crowds of all clubs apart from ten! For example it’s 7,000 more than LFC’s Record. City’s own record is 84,569. There will be more on this and similar stuff in https://www.conkereditions.co.uk/product/manchester-city-folklore-special-subscriber-offer/

WWYWYWS?!

haha you are pleasant arent you. Go have a coffee you fool. You talked about rewards and penalties on your ST, What else could they enforce other than financial incentives and financial penalties?

But as someone else said, imagine they hold a ST but that person was ill or whatever and they couldnt attend 17 out 19 games for example (dont use the exchange, cant pass the ticket on), should they be penalized heavily against someone who attends all games? If you were in their shoes, would you be happy to be fined in this way for reasons beyond your control?

Why the fuck do people like you enter into these kind of discussions, without reading through the fucking thread, other than to try & show off ?

If you put your fucking seat on seat exchange, you don't get penalised, got it ?

If you can't be fucking arsed, because you are too lazy, too rich, or a ticket tout, you are not invited to renew your ticket for the next season.

too lazy, too rich, or a ticket tout...WELCOME TO 93.20.

As I said, no thoughts on the matter, just showing off.

Hang on...
You are one without any thought on the matter.
I asked you for some basic information / ideas / thinking as how your idea would work and you said you couldn't be arsed!
Put up or shut up with some detail to how your idea would be implemented and run?

exactly mate, i shot down his idea earlier and hes swearing at me. The logic of missing a few games and city "inviting you NOT to renew your season ticket" is laughable.

No, you asked me how many points you would lose.

I have replied to how it would be easily run. In case you missed it: the lower tier season ticket holders agree to the conditions, as part of the entitlement of buying a ticket.

Then they are committed, wherever possible, to using seat exchange (or a friend) to try & make sure their seat is occupied, if they can't attend.

It would then involve the club, being arsed enough to use incentives to keep the lower tiers full (which is why I said it won't happen) by rewarding people who attend more, with lower prices & penalising those who don't make their seats available, with higher prices, should they wish to renew.

This is easy enough as it's already effectively a 'members' club. Those seats which are not made available & often not filled, are investigated & some of the members lose their privellage of a lower tier seat . Ticket touts once discovered, dealt with.

City don't invite you NOT to renew your season ticket, you moron, they just don't 'invite you' to renew it, in other words, you lose your invite for membership of the club on the lower tier. Seeing as it's a fucking club, it's easy.

No ability to think.

You are still lacking any details as to how it would be run and what the penalties would be.
You have just a statement of what you would like to happen but nothing behind it to even to begin to explain
how it would work? How many games to miss is deemed acceptable? What is an acceptable reason for missing a game
and what is not? How would it be policed? I could go on but I give up with you. All you do is abuse people when they ask you questions you cannot answer.

Can you give me an example of the abuse I have given you please ? The other guy is a showoff trying to score points & deserves it.

The details of exactly how many & how much, would have to be very carefully worked out & I don't have time to do it.

And you don't need an acceptable reason for missing a game, as I keep pointing out, you make your ticket available. Please read what I have already posted.

It would be easy enough & make more sense than the current points system, just require work, which I am not being paid for.
