A jō is an approximately 1.27-metre (4.2 ft) wooden staff, used in some Japanese martial arts. Jō (surname), a Japanese surname.
Our old Jo scored 10 goals in 5 games for Nagoya Grampus. I always thought he would be a great signing at City, frehs off the back of seasons of goals. Did he manage more than one league goal? Pompey... never delivered did he! Played his part in that transition era. Nowadays ManUre would sign that kind of player.
