Young, who scored the only goal in Manchester City's 1-0 victory over Leicester at Wembley, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and City have responded to supporter-led requests for a tribute by handing out 3,000 red-and-black scarves to fans travelling to the Walkers Stadium.
Joe Mercer's City – a team consisting of 11 Englishmen – wore their away strip of red-and-black stripes as they defeated Leicester to claim their most recent FA Cup success, hence the move to produce the scarves for clash against Sven-Goran Eriksson's team.
All City fans who have bought a ticket to the game received a voucher entitling the bearer to a red-and-black scarf when a donation is made to support the family of Young, who scored 107 goals in 412 appearances for the club, and the Cecilia Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Club officials will also wear the scarves during the game, with Mancini dispensing with his usual blue-and-white scarf for the fixture.
As City currently do not have a red-and-black away kit, Mancini's team will wear a white shirt with a red-and-black sash at Leicester.
