Great to see the 'Grammar Police' on duty tonight!

On topic, I like the fact that Newcastle are doing well. Lots of doom and gloom before the season started with the exodus of the so called 'big' players. If memory serves me right, the fans didn't want the manager either, so good to see him doing the business. They may well drop away, but being 3rd after 10 games and only one point behind the Rags is good going.

I do my part.

I imagine they will drop away but I am happy to see them with oxygen deficiency right now.

can't people stop banging on about huddersfield? they lost the play-off final, the biggest league game they've played in this entire run, so no it ain't 41 games apart from to those pedantic feel sorry for themselves nobodies who want to hide the fact Peterborough raped them when it mattered.

Four against unbeaten Villa...
Six against Shakin Bacon's miraculously unbeaten ragtag rabble...
So it stands to reason that the Toon are going to be hammered by eight...

Spoilsport. Why can't they claim rights to a record of their choosing, if that record exists? Should they reach 50 matches they will no doubt be ridiculed for doing it in the lower leagues, or wearing stripes, or in a new stadium, so it doesn't count, not like Arsenal. But the record still exists, and they will have it if they don't lose for 9 more league games.

How many other teams can claim to have won the Championship, then got relegated the following season? Or any of the other daft things we've claimed to be the only ones to do? You can be "pedantic" if you want and pretend it didn't count because nobody else has done it, but every club should always be proud of their club records, whatever they are, no matter how trivial.

Let's face it, a little bit of Boro's pride died in 2004, just as ours did last season.

wtf you on about? if you're going to be as picky as to say "Oh no the play-offs, the most important part of the League season don't count" then quite frankly it's just pathetic.

Peterborough beat them, their record doesn't stand in my eyes, simple as that, they lost.
