Ha Ha - you cannot multi task can you? ie. read AND understand- just read the whole thing again then try, really try and understand - it might be hard for you but you will learn quite a lot about football

I read the whole thing and agree with some points you make apart from Barry and Willian but the point I was making was having the best defense doesn't count for tiddly squat!

Seriously? Christ on a bike. So having the best defence counts for shit. Makes you wonder why teams bother defending. Just wave them through.

'After you Claude'
'Why thank you mon ami'
'Lovely weather we are having - oh great goal by the way...that makes it 4 to you and we haven't played 20 mins yet'

Plus points from pre season. Well players are fitter (obviously). We won a cup. Players are happier (bless them). We play Newcastle at home and they are invariably wank against us so that gives us an extra week. Still think was can piss the league given the way we have strengthened and others haven't (yet); but seriously go back to defending as a team otherwise we will be winning jack shit.

Oh and liking the new look forum. V snazzy.
Nobody said it counts for shit. It's just not the be all and end all for winning titles. As the scum proved last year.

not seen the game so difficult to comment

My main concern is that clearly we are going for a more attacking line up with the players we have bought which means that we will leak more goals under Pellagrini than Mancini

Normally the team that concedes the least is the most successful Rags last season were the exception. The starting 11 was pretty much a full strength team and the subs were more than good enough

We need another centre half and our strikers need to find their shooting boots or this time next season Cavani would have looked a snip at 100 Million

I really dont think excusing this game as a friendly and therefore irrelevent is acceptable but then again the business starts on the 19th,

You are right. Nobody said it counts for shit. He said it counted for ' tiddly squat'

And it may not be the be all and end all to winning a title but it certainly fucking helps.

Not sure how anyone who has not watched the game can state what went wrong and what we need

Not sure you quite get the point of a forum neither but hey ho

Made no reference to the game merely stating the fucking obvious that we seem to be conceding a lot of goals the players we have bought are far far more offensive which i think is a positive but it will be at the expense of our defense and personally i dont think a Lescott / Kompany centre half pairing is good enough

From my perspective, the main problem, other than the fact the Lescott is neither a top nor adaptable defender, is pressing. Our pressing is so fucking disjointed and laughable, I could swear Pellegrini is trying to orchestrate a widely viewed parody of Barcelona's fantastic tactic. Watching our midfield today try to perform a, seemingly alien, yet routine, task like trying to win the ball in unison, gave me visions of a scene from the movie "Chicken Run"

Bottom line is, no one is working hard enough in the middle for us to play a high line.
Hopefully, its because this is a new style of play. (Coughs)

Special mentions to Nasri, Dzeko, Lescott, Toure, Hart, Clichy and ,worryingly, Vincent Kompany who tried and succeeded in an attempt to imitate Kung-Fu Panda, when much better options and tools for dealing with the snail that is Olivier Giroud were available to him.

In what way does playing a friendly in which half the team was changed when many players in the 2nd half started taking it easy help in winning the f*****g title.

The flapping on this site is getting worse. Some are becoming so spoilt. If we dont win we are shit if we draw we are shit and if we win we should have scored more GET A GRIP PEOPLE
