City v Arsenal post match thread

I think we as City fans need to help Pep this season, make a genuine effort to have some patience and control your urge to flap and worry and pick at everything negative you can find... it's a process learning a new philosophy, finding the right system, your best team and the players best positions for it. If you want to enjoy the good times you have to show a little willingness to go through a little frustration or pain if you like, to get there and City fans should know all about that.

I don't want to see fans causing a stink or a cloud of negativity over the team or certain players on the field next season once it starts, it does no good for anyone in fact it hampers progress.

For a you know, he may never do that again. Or Stones may do it on his debut.

We saw him do it in the Dortmund game as well mate....giving the ball away and poor composure! He's young and will get better but these are the things why Pep says he isnt ready "yet".

I can live with not signing a defender as I would expect us to be more clued up in midfield and not leave us wide open on the left side as we always were under Pellers. What I am failing to get my head around is what Pep is trying to do at the back. I don't see the benefit of playing both a midfielder and left back at centre half when we have at least one international on the bench and a kid he has bigged up. I really can't see us going into the Sunderland game without a centre half playing.

i think on here thats the case ( hart the boo boy) in the ground i dont think so. anyone who does try and defend him is a called a fanboy swell haha
Depends what you're trying to defend him for. If he makes a ruck he should be called out for it. If he makes a great save he should be praised. There are folk who come across as fan boys because there's no way they can have watched that game and thought he came out of it worthy of praise.

Good work out. We looked weak in central defence. No surprise there given the players that were missing

Arsenal looked sharper but then they have been together for a decade.

A pity season starts next weekend. Our own fault for organising the China trip.

I hope we have at least one first choice central defender available against Sunderland.

The mystery of Silva and De Bruyne still remains. Can they play together?

So ?

Are you suggesting that he will do it forever or is he going to stop doing it ? If he's going to stop doing it, how do you know that won't be after today ?

What's the story with Otamendi and Mangala?
