Think its Chelsea's title to lose. Yet another solid win BASED ON A STRONG WELL ORGANISED DEFENCE, Just like ours with Bravo, Sagna, Clichy Oto and Kolarov. Unforgiveably bad management. Nothing to do with settling in. Conte is new to this league too. I cease to be generous. Even at this stage we have cocked it up. Too much concentration on the CL.
I know this sounds like a btoken record but I just cant believe we were satisfied with the defence PRE SEASON.
Which poster on here was happy with the defence. Yes we had a good run to begin but soon got found out.
Stones up and down
Gundogan yet another injury long term
Sane never plays
Nolito ok
Jesus ? We'll see

Take your head for a wobble pal. Chelsea already had a stronger side than ours the season Leicester won the title, they massively under performed because mourinho lost the dressing room.

Pep is changing the whole style of play which will take a lot longer than it took him at Barcelona and Bayern. Bad management I think not

With Peps first season and the fullback situation I'll be happy with anything over 80 points if we can get mid 80s great. Whether that wins the league or not, it would be nice but long term not essential.
But why wasnt the defence addressed when we all could see it. Zabs and Kompany were out before the season kicked off. Kolarov clearly not good enough. etc etc

If Chelsea get 90 points then they will deserve it. We don't have a devine right to win anything. They are actually on track for a 96 point season on results so far! Have to say that so far they are doing everything right and you can't knock a run like this. It's excellent.

One game at a time for us. I don't think it's wise to look too far ahead with the way we have been playing.

A win against Arsenal would be a great tonic for the players though.

Agreed and I was basing the figure on a hopeful tail off but 1 draw only in 17 games suggests they might not have more than 4 or 5 for the whole season if that.

Its blatantly obvious by now if it wasn't before that our transfer policy whatever it has been has been poor on many fronts for far too long now.

Even in our title winning years we didn't plan well enough.

Our defence is second rate , too light weight and or slow in defensive midfield and not enough variety up front.

Provided we get the right quality in the next two / three windows there is no reason we can't get a better points return than Chelsea will this year playing much more attractive football and keeping clean sheets.

To get that its pretty obvious the people responsible have to get much better at their jobs or need replacing.

Cuckoo land.

Totally correct

80 points with this squad would be amazing IMO.

Unless we could offload fullbacks there was no room in the squad to bring fullbacks in. Next summer they will be out of contract and we will bring some in. You may not want to give somebody recognised as the best coach in football any time, luckily the club are a little more farsighted and won't throw the toys out when it doesn't all happen now.
