City v Boro post match

Navas played ok but the problem we have when he plays is that it's another player that doesn't score goals. Opposition can look at our line-up and see two players that score goals. TWO!! Silva doesn't score. Gundogan, ok has scored 4 in the past week but in his career hasn't been a goal scorer. Fernandinho doesn't score. We basically have Aguero and KDB, that's it. We've got to start playing two up front at home because teams now know that they can defend deep, try to keep it 0-0 or at worst 1-0 and because we can't defend they will always have chances.

That's fair enough. Navas has sharpened up his act this season but it would be nice if he started getting into more dangerous positions as well - maybe that will come now under Pep (he did hit the post today).

As a fan of the last manager, what the actual fuck has he got to do with anything right now?

Seriously??

He's saying if Pelle had a run of only one win in five premier league games, (3 at home), he would be getting dogs abuse. He's saying Pep is getting a free pass .... I think.

Deja vu from last season, excellent start in the league and then one bad result and it all goes to pieces, and they think a few decent performances in Europe can mask it. Ultimately our 2 major deficiencies from last season our weak mentality and our awful players at full back haven't been addressed so I don't believe there's much pep can do whilst they're still present. The fact that a team that was as dominant as we were in the first half 19 shots vs 0 shots, yet still doesn't win shows that we're arrogant and complacent. I'd take just getting the top 4 this season tbh, then pep can improve areas that urgently need addressing CB and FB and improve the strength in depth in cm and cdm, it's also frustrating that there's an international break too.

Aguero is by no means the teams best finisher and never has been. He is wasteful, but gets himself into many goalscoring opportunities, thus nullifies the effect of this. So no - he is not the best finisher on the team.

I have 150 reasons why you're wrong.

We were fine first half searching and pushing for the a goal. Second half piss poor looked like we were trying to hold what we have, you cant do that in the premier you go for the second.

Deserved a win. Should've finished them off. Equaliser totally against run of play. But this is Middlesbrough for you. Better play these teams away it seems. Pity. Real pity.
